APIA encourages all Australian passionfruit growers and industry stakeholders to join the Association.

Reasons for Joining APIA

• APIA is the Peak Industry Body and represents growers, nurserymen, processors and other industry participants.
• APIA is a non profit tax exempt association. The aims of APIA are embodied in the Constitution and simply are to foster and promote the industry by implementing any measures advantageous to members.
• APIA keeps members up to date with all important news in the industry through the quarterly publication of "The Passion Vine" magazine. Members get free classifieds eg advertise for staff or advertise purchase or sale of your property or equipment.
• APIA has engaged in wide consultation with industry participants and produced an Industry Strategic Plan which is the blueprint being followed for further development of the industry.
• APIA promoted the joint venture between NSW Agriculture and Queensland Primary Industry which resulted in the publication of the "Agrilink Passionfruit Information Kit", an advanced growing guide regularly updated with information from our research and development projects.
• APIA was the driving force behind establishing the statutory R & D Levy paid by all growers. In consultation with members and through the APIA R & D Committee, APIA controls the direction and funding of industry R & D. At present the Program includes projects aimed at improved varieties and disease management.
• APIA members receive access to APIA plant varieties at discounted royalty rates and are exempt from the administration fee on plant orders.
• APIA is a member of Horticulture Australia Ltd (HAL), Horticulture Australia Council (HAC) and Freshcare Limited which gives members a strong and united voice in important forums at Government and other levels.

All membership classes pay a $50 joining fee. There is also a compulsory lobby fee - currently $10 for new members and $20 for renewing members. Membership fees vary depending on the member class. The fees are detailed on the application and renewal forms available through the links below.

How to Apply for APIA Membership

Print the Membership Application Form and the compulsory non-propagation agreement, fill them both in and forward with payment to APIA. Payment for new grower memberships is currently $165 including GST and lobby fee. Other membership classes are detailed on the form below.

How to Renew your APIA Membership

Print the Membership RENEWAL Form, fill it in and forward it with payment to APIA. Membership renewal for growers is currently $121 including GST and lobby fee. Other renewal amounts are detailed on the form below.
